Da Lat Cathedral is called St. Nicolas Cathedral, is the cathedral of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Da Lat, located at 15 Tran Phu Street, Ward 3, Da Lat City, Lam Dong province in the Central Highlands of Vietnam.
Da Lat Cathedral is also known as Chicken Church because a large copper rooster is perched atop its bell tower. The Dalat Cathedral was built between 1931 and 1942 during the French colonial period in Vietnam. Da Lat Cathedral was designed in the Roman Catholic Church style in Europe, representing the Romanesque school of architecture. Da Lat Cathedral is the most beautiful and biggest church in Dalat city and it turned out to be a truly heartwarming and meaningful place, both spiritually and architecturally.
