Our Lady of Giang Son
Our Lady of Giang Son ,Vietnamese Đức Mẹ Giang Son, is a Vietnam Marian pilgrimage site for believers coming here to pray and seek peace under the protection of the Virgin Mary. The Shrine of Our Lady of Giang Son is a Catholic religious center belonging to the Ban Me Thuot Diocese, located on a peaceful Giang Son hill in Yang Reh commune, Krông Bông District, Đắk Lắk, the Central Vietnam. The statue of Our Lady of Giang Son was built by Vietnamese soldiers stationed on Giang Son Hill in 1943 during the resistance war against the French, later was rebuilt in 1981 and completed in 2002. The statue is 6.32 meters tall, the Virgin Mary's face ( Our Lady of Giang Son ) is depicted as a symbol of mercy and gentleness. Above her head are twelve stars, representing the lineages of the Israelite people. Our Lady of Giang Son is also a place for those who believe in God and the Virgin Mary to immerse themselves in encouragement and spiritual restoration.
