During Vietnamese and American War, the Ben Hai River was demarcation line between North and South Vietnam. This makes a DMZ or Demilitarized Zone of five km each from the river. However during the war, the Southern area of Demilitarized Zone was one of the bloodiest battlefields. This DMZ Tour will take you back to the history of the war sites and see the present life on the “death land”. Besides this tour, you will explore the marvelous Phong Nha Cave of the nature here with forest, mountain range and river. DONG HOI CITY – PHONG NHA – VINH MOC – KHE SANH – HUE ( 5 DAYS / 4 NIGHTS )

Tour Itinerary:

Day 1: Arrive in Dong Hoi - Phong Nha Cave ( L,D )
Pick up at Dong Hoi Airport and transfer to the hotel.  After lunch, we take a boat trip cruise along Son River to Phong Nha Cave. The deeper one penetrates, the more magical are the natural aspects of the caves. After on boat, a large dry passage is appear. We then walk to discover the cave and have a chance to explore remain of Cham Altars and Inscriptions inside. Return to the hotel for dinner. Overnight at the hotel in Dong Hoi Town.
  
Day 2: Dong Hoi - Vinh Moc - Quang Tri ( B,L,D )
After 2 hours in the morning at Nhat Le beach, we depart for Quang Tri Province. From here, we will proceed to amazing Vinh Moc Tunnels. The tunnels remain unaltered and therefore offer an authentic view of the underground life. We will enter the tunnels and explore the subterranean passageways. We continue to visit Hien Luong Bridge, Ben Hai River and Doc Mieu Fire Base. Check into the hotel and overnight in Quang Tri Province.

Day 3: Quang Tri - Khe Sanh - Hue ( B,L,D )
After breakfast, we head west on Route 9. The first stop is Camp Carroll, the Marine artillery plateau. Have a brief stop at the Rockpile, an old Marine Corp look-out. Continue to visit Khe Sanh Combat Base. Keep heading toward to the Lang Vei Special Forces Camp, overrun in the first ever NVA tank assault. We arrive in Hue City to check in at the hotel.
 
Day 4: Visit Hue ( B,L,D )
After breakfast, we explore Hue Citadel, focusing on the fighting that took place here during the 1968 Tet Offensive. 11 battalions of the Army of the Republic of South Vietnam (ARVN), 4 US Army battalions and 3 US Marine Corps battalions fought a vicious house to house battle with 10 battalions of the People’s Army of Vietnam and Viet Cong. We continue to visit Thien Mu Pagoda, Dong Ba Market and the tomb of Tu Duc.  Stay overnight at the hotel.

Day 5: Depart Hue ( B )
Free at leisure until transfer to Hue Airport for your next destination.
