Tour itinerary:

Pick up at your hotel in Saigon City center for the trip Cai Be of Mekong Delta.

First stop-over is Cao Dai Temple in Cai Be which is symbolizing the local unique religion and then go on to visit the Cai Be Cathedral.

Then continue to Tân Phong island for a biking or walking on village paths which can be so amazing to see the local farmers, local people in their daily life where we can also see how they make rice paper for spring-rolls, sew coconut-leaves for cottage roof and specially see how they weave the dried water-hyacinth to make many products: baskets, bags, hats, wallets, shoes…

The rowing boat will take you deeper into the countryside on smaller canals and to enjoy the peaceful time.
It’s so interesting to see traditional houses made of wood and palm tree leaves and see some activities of the local farmers with an opportunity to make contacts with them and see how they catch fish or pick up fruits by ancestral ways in Mekong Delta..

Enjoy a lunch of fresh river food served at a local home.

After lunch, we can walk around the fruitful orchard and enjoy a cup of tea while listening to the traditional folk music.

Next, an optional stop can be made at local handicraft workshops where you can see how to make rice paper, coconut candy and pop-rice, pop-corn…Bid the farewell to the host, and drive back to Saigon City.
